The Division of Primary Schooling (DBE) has confirmed that the June-July faculty holidays in 2025 will start following the tip of the second time period on Friday, 27 June.
Pupils will return to their desks on Tuesday, 22 July for Time period 3.
Meaning a June-July vacation interval of 24 days – together with weekends.
The 2025 faculty 12 months is split into 4 phrases:
- Time period 1: 15 January to twenty-eight March
- Time period 2: 8 April to 27 June
- Time period 3: 22 July to three October
- Time period 4: 13 October to 10 December
Inland vs coastal
Previous to 2024, there was a distinction within the time period dates for inland and coastal colleges.
In 2024 that modified to a calendar that was similar for all provinces.
It will stay the case in 2025.
The 2025 tutorial 12 months will include 200 faculty days.
Phrases 1 and a pair of may have 52 days, Time period 3 would be the longest at 53 days, whereas Time period 4 would be the shortest with simply 43 days.
