Two runners have been rushed to hospital after an allegedly drunk driver ploughed into them on Victoria Highway within the Atlantic Seaboard round 07:40 on Sunday.
One of many runners was subsequently flung over the wall of the street on account of the hit.
Checked into hospital
In keeping with Ward 54 Councillor Nicola Jowell, who took to her social media platform, the driving force reportedly misplaced management of his automobile, inflicting him to hit the 2 runners.
‘It was a person and a girl who have been hit. Fortunately the person has been checked into hospital and appears to be okay. The lady continues to be being assessed in hospital however indicators are trying optimistic.
